Rules and Regulations for Safe Travel

Students On The Move Shuttle, Inc. is dedicated to making your life easier while keeping your precious cargo safe. You can put your mind at ease knowing your child will be transported in the safest manner possible.  Shuttles will be monitored remotely and parents will be notified if your child’s shuttle gets delayed. 

  • All pick-up/drop-off locations must be pre-arranged
  • Passengers must be ready to board the shuttle when it arrives. Please be prepared to leave to assure everyone makes it to their destinations in a timely manner
  • Passengers shall not interfere with the driver's responsibilities
  • Students On The Move Shuttle Inc. will not be liable for any items left on the shuttle(s)
  • Students On The Move Shuttle Inc., reserves the right to terminate its services to any child or parent who is considered uncooperative or disruptive
  • Passengers must wear seat belts at all times, NO exceptions. Absolutely NO STANDING allowed when the shuttle is in motion
  • Shuttle must come to a complete stop before boarding or departure
  • Absolutely NO smoking or any type of tobacco products allowed
  • Passengers must clean their area or seat upon departure of any trash
  • Cellular phones are permitted as long as it is not disturbing to the driver. NOTE: Cellular phone use is permitted but we request that ring volumes be turned down as a safety precaution for the driver
  • Listening and obeying the driver during pick up, transport and delivery is a MUST. If necessary, the driver may assign seats
  • NO fighting, bullying, arguing or physical contact with the driver and/or other passengers
  • Sick child pick-up: Membership is required and all documentation must be on file with Students On The Move Shuttle Inc.
  • A detailed list of all rules and regulations will be sent to parents upon confirmation of reservation

 Hours of Operation

  • Monday-Friday 6:30 a.m.- 6:30 p.m. during the school year
  • Weekends, nights and summer hours are available upon request

Emergency Instructions

Please call us at 248-247-1126 at least 2 hours in advance with your name, telephone number, child's name and the nature of the emergency. If no one is available, please leave a message or e-mail us at info@studentsonthemoveshuttle.com, messages are checked frequently. If we can accommodate your emergency pick-up, we will confirm with a telephone call.

Inclement Weather

All passengers and drivers safety comes FIRST to Students On The Move Shuttle, Inc. We will not operate during inclement weather and will follow local Independent School District (ISD) weather advisories.

Cancellation Policy

Customers are required to provide notice of cancellation via telephone. All cancellations must be made at least 4 hours prior to the time of service.  Cancellations made after that time are subject to a cancellation fee equal to $35 in addition to the daily fare.

No-Show Policy

A $35 service fee will be added to your account, if your passenger is not at the pre-arranged pick-up location.

Refund Policy

Refunds are given only if the following applies:

  • Trip is cancelled by Students On The Move Shuttle, Inc.
  • Incorrect payment applied
  • Accounting error made by Students On The Move Shuttle, Inc.
  • As outlined in the General Terms and Conditions Agreement

Passenger Vehicle Safety

All vehicles receive a rigid check daily

  • All vehicles are kept spotless and checked daily by drivers.
  • All vehicles are equipped with GPS navigational system
  • All vehicles are equipped with safety belts and will be worn at all times
  • Car seats or booster seats will be used according to the Michigan State Law under the Office of Highway Safety Planning
  • All vehicles exceed state inspection standards for health and safety
